Dogs ownership and rabies related issues have lately resurrected in the Ashanti Region with some reported cases of human casualties.
Earlier this month, an 8 year old boy was mauled to death by two bull dogs.
The dogs were later identified to be suffering from rabies.

Just last week, another boy was reportedly killed after bites from a rabies dog.
Contributing to the topic: Stray Animals – Dogs & Rabies Upsurge on Time FM’s Ama Ghana, Dr. Mabel Abudu, the Ashanti Regional Veterinary Officer advised Ghanaians to look out for these signs on dogs to confirm they have the virus.
