(VIDEO) TV Signals Shut Down: Consult GJA And NMC – Ken Kuranchie Urges Ursula Owusu1 min read
Kenneth Agyei Kuranchie, former Board Member of the National Media Commission (NMC) says Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful cannot decide on her own to shut down television signals to homes and offices from next year if broadcasters decline to pay for the usage of the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) platform.
Ken Kuranchie urged Ursula Owusu-Ekuful to consult the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) and National Media Commission(NMC) before embarking on that decision.
He asked Nana Kwabena Ampratwum on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Time FM: why was the piloting exercise of the DTT platform done for 8 years?
Ken Kuranchie was emphatic that piloting the DTT platform for 8 years was not the way to go.
