The Northern Business Acting Commercial Manager of MTN, Simon Amoh has emphasized the need for Journalists to avoid stress to stay healthy.

He explained that staying healthy enhances productivity adding that exercising regularly is a major necessity that needs to be cultivated.

Simon Amoh was addressing Journalists after the maiden MTN Media Walk 2023 in Kumasi.

The idea for the walk was initiated by some senior journalists and was supported by the telecommunication giant, MTN.

As early as 4am on Saturday, 23rd December, 2023, some journalists had arrived at the Nhyiaeso office of MTN for the walk scheduled to start at 6am.

As usual of MTN, the first 10 early birds were awarded with MTN souvenirs.

The walk finally took off from the MTN office, through Ahodwo roundabout, Kumasi Mall, GBC – Dadiesoaba, Asafo Ahmadiya, Labour Roundabout, Asafo Interchange, KMA and ended at the Nhyiaeso MTN office.

That was not the end of it, the Journalists were taken through some aerobic sessions to augment the walk.

The Northern Business Acting Commercial Manager of MTN, Simon Amoh continued and reiterated the importance of keeping the body in shape.

He said walking is one of the ways to keep the body in shape, heat and also mentally alert.

For his part, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Kingsley Hope appealed to MTN to make the walk at least every 6 months or an annual affair.

He asked colleague journalists to do everything in moderation during the Yuletide to stay healthy and strong.
