WAEC To Release 2023 WASSCE Results December 141 min read
The West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) has announced that the target date of releasing the provisional results of the 2023 WASSCE is December 14, 2023.
WAEC said marking of the scripts is ongoing to meet the target date.
In an interview with Nana Kwabena Ampratwum on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Time FM, the Head of Public Affairs for WAEC, Mr John Kapi revealed that what will be an obstacle for releasing the results will be money.
A total of 447,204 candidates, made up of 211,834 males and 235,370 females drawn from 975 schools entered for the examination.
This figure indicated an increase of 5.8% compared to the 2022 entry figure of 422,883. The examination took place at 834 centres across the country.
A total of sixty (60) subjects, comprising four (4) core and fifty-six (56) electives were made available to prospective candidates to choose from.
