Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, former Minister for Trade and Industry has advised Minister for Trade and Industry, K.T Hammond to promote locally made products before placing a ban on imported products.
Speaking on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Time FM with Nana Kwabena Ampratwum, he said “You are not serious if you ban imported items without promoting your locally made goods.”
Spio-Garbrah said a ban can placed on imported items when Ghanaians have developed an interest in locally made goods.
