The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dr Gyimah Foundation, Dr Philip Gyapon Gyimah has advised students not to allow any impediment to bar them from achieving their dreams.
He said as students, they have the potential to succeed in future and nothing should sidetrack them from such fete.
Speaking at a ceremony to donate books to the Jacobu Senior Technical School and 28 other basic schools at Jacobu in the Amansie Central District of the Ashanti Region, Dr Gyimah said the exercise is in two folds.
“First phase is the donation of books and second phase shall witness building of a library for the school.”
Dr Philip Gyimah urged the students to be serious with their books and academic works.
Touching on students upbringing, he implored teachers to counsel students on what they can do after school.
“Life after school sometimes becomes a dilemma and it’s proper teachers counsel students on life after school,” he stressed.
Headmaster of the school, Justice Joseph Osei Krah was full of gratitude to Dr Gyimah for the donation of the books.
He promised that the purpose of the donation shall not be downplayed adding that the students shall be supervised to read always.
Mr Osei Krah appealed for a dining hall, dormitory and a wall to ward off criminals from attacking the students.
The Jacobu Queenmother, Nana Afia Konadu admonished the students to resist characters that will lead them to teenage pregnancies.
“Marry your books and give birth to success since teenage pregnancy will drop you out of school,” she stressed.
