First-Year SHS Students Report To School Today1 min read

First-Year Senior High School students will today Monday, December 4, 2023 report to school.

The schedule affects both students on single and double-track systems, as mentioned in the 2023/2024 academic calendar released by the Ghana Education Service (GES).

Although there have been concerns about the short notice just when the school placement was released, the Ministry of Education has explained that the academic calendar was put out several weeks before now.

Out of the total number of 598,839 results received from WAEC, 585,797 candidates qualified to be placed.

“A total of 477,772 (81.56%) were automatically placed in one of their choices”.

The GES in a press statement has urged all students yet to do their self-placement to do so as quickly as practicable.
