I Didn’t Kill Maadwoa – Inspector Twumasi Pleads Not Guilty<span class="wtr-time-wrap after-title"><span class="wtr-time-number">1</span> min read</span>

Inspector Ahmed Twumasi has pleaded not guilty for shooting to death his girlfriend, Victoria Dapaah aka Maadwoa.

Inspector Twumasi repudiated reappeared before the Asokore Mampong District court on Tuesday 20/06/2023 and was charged with murder.

The state prosecutor detailed how Inspector Twumasi allegedly murdered Maadwoa and evidence submitted before the court including CCTV footage.

The head of the family, Nana Addo said if Twumasi has pleaded not guilty, it is not all over until it is over. By all means, we will go to the High Court and we know what will happen there.”

It was the usual emotional atmosphere as the family and friends of Maadwoa now deceased, wept and rained insults on Inspector Ahmed Twumasi.

The police needed reinforcement to escort Inspector Twumasi from the court premises after the furious sympathizers of late Maadwoa went berserk.

A section of them pelted stones at the police vehicle conveying Inspector Twumasi damaging some parts of the vehicle.

Late Maadwoa’s Father Kofi Bruise Dapaah said he will allow the law to take its course.

“I made arrangements to fly Maadwoa and her other four siblings to the United Kingdom and unfortunately she has died. I don’t have much to say. Let the law take its course,” he said.

The case has however been transferred to the Kumasi High Court where Inspector Twumasi will stand full trial.

Inspector Twumasi has been remanded and will reappear before the High Court on 13th July 2023.

Maadwoa will be laid to rest on Saturday, 24th June, 2023.
