Inflation Records Fourth Consecutive Drop, Hits 41.2% In April 20231 min read

The rate of inflation for April 2023 declined to 41.2%, the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has announced.

The rate of inflation for March 2023 was 45%.

This is a 3.8 percentage-point drop relative to the inflation rate recorded in March 2023.

This is the fourth consecutive decline in the national inflation rate after recording another drop in March.

Non-food Inflation was at 35.4% as compared with March’s rate of 40.6 % Month-on-month Non-Food inflation was 0.7%

The inflation rate for locally produced items was 38.2% and Inflation for imported items was 43.1%
