Inflation Records Fourth Consecutive Drop, Hits 41.2% In April 2023<span class="wtr-time-wrap after-title"><span class="wtr-time-number">1</span> min read</span>

The rate of inflation for April 2023 declined to 41.2%, the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has announced.

The rate of inflation for March 2023 was 45%.

This is a 3.8 percentage-point drop relative to the inflation rate recorded in March 2023.

This is the fourth consecutive decline in the national inflation rate after recording another drop in March.

Food inflation was at 48.7% compared with March’s rate of 50.8%

Non-food Inflation was at 35.4% as compared with March’s rate of 40.6 % ▪Month-on-month Non-Food inflation was 0.7%

The inflation rate for locally produced items was 38.2% and Inflation for imported items was 43.1%
