John Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed unwavering confidence in his running mate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang. He commended her for her impeccable integrity and reputation for ethical conduct. These remarks were made during the formal introduction of Prof Opoku-Agyemang on April 24th at the Kofi Ohene Konadu Auditorium, University of Professional Studies (UPSA).

Mahama highlighted that the late President JJ Rawlings had conveyed to Prof Opoku-Agyemang that her esteemed reputation earned her the position of running mate in 2020. He underscored her remarkable qualifications and her potential to represent Ghana internationally. Mahama believes that with Prof Opoku-Agyemang, the NDC will fight corruption and ensure transparency, accountability, and justice for all citizens.

He emphasized that Prof Opoku-Agyemang’s appointment as the running mate will serve as inspiration for Ghanaian women to aspire to leadership roles. Their administration, Mahama assured, would collaborate with the best talent in the country, regardless of gender, to create a legacy benefiting all Ghanaians.

Mahama further stated that Prof Opoku-Agyemang brings extensive knowledge and experience to the party’s ticket, making her an ideal candidate for the Vice President position in Ghana.
