MTN Ghana has announced a substantial social impact, touching the lives of 4.5 million people through its various community development initiatives.

The telecommunications giant invested a remarkable GHs 106.5 million in social projects across the country, demonstrating its commitment to corporate social responsibility.

MTN Ghana’s General Manager for the Northern Sector, Nii Adotey Mingle revealed that this significant investment highlights MTN Ghana’s dedication to improving the lives of Ghanaians.

Speaking at the 2024 Editors’ Forum in Kumasi, Mingle provided a breakdown of the completed projects, including 90 in education, 55 in healthcare, 15 in economic empowerment, and 6 in community support.

MTN Ghana, he noted is also integrating digital skills training into its programs to achieve a 75% target by 2025.

The company plans to launch digital projects such as the Mamfe Girls Robotics Lab, Yilo Krobo ICT Center, and Wiamoase ICT facility in the coming year.

To further enhance its impact, MTN Ghana will focus on equipping youth, women, and people with disabilities with digital skills, vocational training, and support for educational and healthcare infrastructure.

Mingle emphasized the company’s commitment to financial inclusion, announcing the repackaging of digital business solution platforms to empower small and medium-sized enterprises and individuals.

“We will continue to develop innovative strategies to expand inclusivity in our digital financial space,” Mingle stated.
