The Cheat On Cocoa Farmers Is Unprecedented In The History of Ghana – NDC1 min read
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) says the government has hugely cheated cocoa farmers by pegging the price of a cocoa bag at Ghc1,308 for the 2023/2024 cocoa season.
The NDC said the price is the highest in 44 years.
The NDC Ashanti Regional Communications Officer, Abass Nurudeen said on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Time FM that the NPP government failed to increase cocoa prices in three cocoa seasons.
Abass Nurudeen further explained that the government has kept for itself a greater percentage of the cocoa increment with a peanut to the farmers.
