COKA Offers Condolences On The Passing Of SDA Music Legend Osei Boateng<span class="wtr-time-wrap after-title"><span class="wtr-time-number">1</span> min read</span>

Former NPP Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah (COKA) is among those offering condolences following the passing of legendary SDA composer Akuamoah Osei Boateng. Mr. Osei Boateng, known for iconic songs like “Yesu Ka Woho” and “Okwantufuo,” leaves behind a musical legacy spanning over five decades.

Taking to Facebook, COKA expressed his grief: “The Seventh-Day Adventist Church and Ghana have lost a legend. Mr. Osei Boateng, a cherished composer, gospel musician, and songwriter, has passed away. He leaves behind a treasure trove of music, with ‘Yesu Ka Woho’ and ‘Anwanwasem Besisi’ being personal favorites.”

COKA extended his condolences to the SDA Church family and Mr. Osei Boateng’s loved ones. “May he rest well,” COKA concluded. “Till we meet again, legend.”

Mr. Osei Boateng reportedly passed away on April 6th, 2024, at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after a week-long stay. He was known for nurturing musical talent within and beyond the SDA Church.
