The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has challenged Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club players to prove that they are capable of turning the club’s horrible form around.
He said this in address to the team in a meeting held earlier today as Kotoko endures a torrid time in the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season.
The club ranks 11th in the 18 team league standings at the time of publication and has a draw and six losses in seven games in the second half of the league season.
In the lead up to the end of the first round, Kotoko had four wins and a draw in the month of December and ranked second in the league standings.
However, Kotoko’s form has taken a terrible turn prompting The Asantehene to make the call and challenge members of the playing unit.
Kotoko take on league leaders FC Samartex on Sunday, April 21 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi at 15:00 GMT.
